Editorial Policy
This page explains how we make the articles and tools on Techilam.
What we publish
We publish guides about combining names and choosing baby names. Each article is written to answer a specific question and is reviewed before publication.
How we write
- We answer the main question early, then explain.
- We use plain language and short sentences.
- We avoid claims we cannot support. When something varies by culture or language, we say so.
- We do not publish made-up quotes, fake statistics, or invented reviews.
Names and meanings
The curated names in our tools come with an origin and a meaning. Meanings in names often vary by language and tradition, and some are uncertain. We choose the most widely given meaning and say "varies" or "uncertain" when needed. If a meaning matters to your family, please confirm it with a trusted source in your community.
How the tools work
Tool rules, such as the flow score, are explained on the tool pages. The scores measure how a name sounds and how both names are used. They do not judge meaning, culture, or taste.
Updates and corrections
Articles show a published date. When we make a meaningful change, we show an updated date. If you find an error, write to hello@techilam.com with the page address and what you found. We will check it and correct it.
Independence
Our recommendations are not for sale. If we ever include sponsored or affiliate content, we will label it clearly.
